Inauguration of the Winter Salon

A new space is born at the Grande Hotel do Porto. The Winter Hall featured a skylight and a fireplace, which worked in the winter months. The decoration was the responsibility of Casa Nascimento. Today, this is where we find Sala Douro.

Opening of the Book of Honor

General Carmona, President of the Republic at the time, travels to Porto accompanied by a government delegation, which stayed at the Grande Hotel do Porto . At the time of this visit, the Book of Honor of the Hotel was opened, which is still used today.
Since it was opened in the 30s, the Book of Honor does not include the visit of many famous guests, who were part of the history of the Grande Hotel from Porto.
